1841

Just bought a ticket for the seven-thirty line.
The morning trains are late. The cars are speeding by.
The sun is rising. Just got to be there by nine.

And just ahead the traffic jams on highway nine.
The morning rush sits by the cornfields and the rye.
The sun is rising. Just got to be there on time.

I want to back as in eighteen forty-one.
No cars, no traffic and no worries on my mind.
I want to back as in eighteen forty-one.
Take my computer and TV if you’d be kind.

Just bought a ticket at the airport JFK.
The lines are longer and the flights are all delayed.
The sun is rising. Just got to be on the way.

I want to back as in eighteen forty-one.
No cars, no traffic and no worries on my mind.
I want to back as in eighteen forty-one.
Take my computer and TV if you’d be kind.

What Is The Meaning

What is the meaning of it all?
Is it a cover or a stall?
How can the words be so unclear?
Is it just here or everywhere?

Look to the sky.
Look underground.
Stare in the eye
of the profound.

What is the meaning of it all?
Is it so big or extremely small?
Where lies the difference in the two?
Is this some genius with no clue?

Look to the sky.
Look underground.
Can you rely on the
words that are around?

You Can Not Run

Sometimes you wind up where you don't want to be.
And you look around at these walls closing in.

You can not run. You must not be afraid.
The lines are drawn. The warnings will not fade.
The time has come. Commitments have been made.
This is the one. You can not run.

Maybe the decision you made turned out wrong.
And you wait spellbound for a chance to escape.

You can not run. You must not be afraid.
The lines are drawn. The warnings will not fade.
The time has come. Commitments have been made.
This is the one. You can not run.

Hear this, you know someday nothing can be changed.
And you hear the sound of the wind blowing by.

You can not run. You must not be afraid.
The lines are drawn. The warnings will not fade.
The time has come. Commitments have been made.
This is the one. You can not run.

Six Legendary Cats Suite IV: The Thinker

Make no mistake about it. This is the biggest guitar sound used in the Six Legendary Cats (SLC) Suite and it is reserved for Antonio – the biggest of the six cats. You know Antonio is around when you hear the heavy, reverberant, full-of-depth powerhouse guitar improvise its way around for four and a half minutes. Yet he is a gentle and jolly cat. He likes pondering his world. He is the Thinker.

The 4th movement to the SLC Suite starts off with a thunderous introduction and quickly enters the 16-bar verse. Here, the drums, bass and rhythm guitar present the subtle theme of Fellini, Galliano and Marino playing in the yard. Meanwhile, Antonio is contemplating life. Halfway through the verse Antonio joins in with them. All four voices are present during the 8-measure chorus.

The second verse/chorus routine is followed by a short bridge that simply symbolizes a distraction or momentary lapse in the cats’ concentration. However they quickly reassemble in the next chorus and then continue on into the final verse/chorus routine. The piece ends with an additional iteration of the chorus.

Yes! Antonio knows that he is special. His presence is indisputable whether he is sitting alone examining nature or is comfortably enjoying team membership with his brothers.

This Time

This time there will be a real effort here.
And so I need the chance to show how I care.
Next time you can know that I will sure be there.
You know that I've always been so very clear.

How can I make you see?
I need you back with me.
There can be harmony
if we sing in another key.
We'll unlock how it used to be.

This time there will be a new way of listening.
That is something that will not be wavering.
Next time you can see how it is comforting
to know yesterday's words have been diminishing.

How can I make you see?
I need you back with me.
There can be harmony
if we sing in another key.
We'll unlock how it used to be.

Six Legendary Cats Suite V: A Tribute to Fellini

Fellini, The Explorer, is “the defacto cat leader and diplomatic liaison.” His days are always busy and full of excitement. One day The Explorer had an unfortunate accident - tragically and unexpectedly our wonderful Fellini did not survive.

The fifth movement to the Six Legendary Cats Suite was written as a tribute to our beloved Fellini who sits proudly on page 5 of this booklet. No furry feline could ever be more personable or affectionate. When he wasn’t charming the world, he was busy exploring it. He was revered for his high-mindedness, wisdom and selflessness. He had a love for life and a busy curiosity.

Yes. This album squarely belongs in the rock genre. But for Fellini’s tribute, the musical palette needed more vivid colors. The brushes had to be more expressive. The mood needed to be royal and stately for the King of Cats. And so, with these classic tools we present our tribute to Fellini’s legendary life.

Nothing At All

Did you ever think you were special?
Ever think you were more than anyone that could fall?
Even though you are made of something common to all.

Have you ever thought to consider?
Ever thought of another? Even one that is small?
Even though it sounds simple, no one's life is too small.

Sometimes, the road does not go there.
No matter how you try. Just answer the call.
There's no more learning. There are no more changes.
It makes no difference. There is just nothing, nothing at all.

Did you ever think you were stronger?
Ever think you knew more than anyone that could fall?
Even though you are made of something common to all?

Have you ever thought the reaction to this manic behavior,
would be one that is small?
When the truth is considered, was it worth it at all?

Sometimes, the road does not go there.
No matter how you try. Just answer the call.
There's no more learning. There are no more changes.
It makes no difference. There is just nothing, nothing at all.

Six Legendary Cats Suite VI: The Hunter

There can be no finer cat than Galliano. Second in size only to Antonio, his special charm and refined mannerisms are second to none. He has grown to be socially graceful in both the cat and people worlds. Fluent in “meow talk,” he always greets his brothers and the people familiar to him. Galliano does not eat food – he dines, as though he was in a fine restaurant.

Yet Galliano is the consummate sportsman. He studies wildlife whether it is from the air, land or creek. He is The Hunter.

The sixth composition of the SLC Suite absolutely fits into the light jazz genre although there is a rock-style edge to the beat.

This piece begins with a Fender Precision Bass, Fender Stratocaster and drums. The trio sets a recurring groove at 116 beats per minute. Then a Fender Deluxe American “Fat Strat” (pictured on the album cover) enters the scene. This is Galliano. All-American, mild-mannered and refined, he is the only cat that could represent this doubled-up theme. After some improvisation the theme is restated with a bouncier inflection. Finally, Galliano walks us home as the lead guitar fades out.
This cat knows how to live!

Blue Sky Rider

Can you see when the storm begins to fade?
That you're on top and in front of the parade.

You're riding high on the clear blue sky
And you say good-bye to the ways of yesterday.

There comes a time when you truely understand.
You've paid the price now it's time to take command.

You're riding high on the clear blue sky
And you say good-bye to the ways of yesterday.

When you reflect on the day that you were freed.
How in the past you could not fulfill your need.

You're riding high on the clear blue sky
And you say good-bye to the ways of yesterday.

Blue sky rider Blue sky rider
Blue sky rider Blue sky rider

Blindness

Yes I read about him and the boy that he made into his toy.
So he wrapped him up within the cloth like a spider stores a moth.
Yet they all came out to pay their dues (and) listen to his point of view.
While he's speaking to the higher one no one knows he's on the run.

Oh, there is Blindness. Yes there is Blindness.
Can you see Blindness? Yes there is Blindness.

Yes I read about her and her way (and) how she used to get her pay.
Then she got a house upon the hill. And they came to drop their Bill(s).
Now she stands behind the microphone, preaching how to run your home.
Yet she speaks out loud of who is wrong. Fat One's here to sing the song.

Oh, there is Blindness. Yes there is Blindness.
Can you see Blindness? Yes there is Blindness.

Take these eyes upon the sea.
Rinse and rest them thoroughly.

Have you heard about the billionaire (who) got the hitch of his career?
Yes the old man could not see above her fake eyes and selfish love.
Well, she played it out and made him spin even as she drank her gin.
And then suddenly he changed his will. Afterwards he slid downhill.

Oh, there is Blindness. Yes there is Blindness.
Can you see Blindness? Yes there is Blindness
